Bridge Privacy Policy
Bridge is built to respect your attention and your data.
Who we are
Bridge is operated by August Erixon, Chapmans Torg 5, 414 55 Gothenburg, Sweden, the data controller responsible for the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us at founder@getbridge.tools.
What we collect, and why
Email signups. If you sign up for updates on getbridge.tools, we collect your email address to send you product news. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by unsubscribing.
Device management. If you become a Bridge subscriber, your device is enrolled in a device management system (built on Google's Android Enterprise platform) that allows us to remotely maintain your device for the life of your subscription. Through this system we can:
- Install, update, and remove apps from your approved whitelist
- Apply security patches and OS updates
- Enforce the locked-down settings that make Bridge work as intended
- Receive basic compliance and status information from your device (e.g. installed app versions, policy status, device model) — not your activity, messages, or app content
Legal basis: performance of our contract with you (this processing is necessary to provide the subscription service itself).
How long we keep it
We retain email signup data until you unsubscribe. We retain device management data for the duration of your active subscription, and delete it within 90 days of cancellation or account closure, except where we're required to keep records for legal or accounting purposes.
What we don't do
We don't run ads, sell data to third parties, or track your activity for advertising purposes. Bridge devices don't include a browser, social media, or analytics-driven feeds by design. Device management data is used only to keep your device running and secure — never for marketing, profiling, or advertising.
Third-party apps
Bridge lets you install a small set of whitelisted third-party apps (e.g. messaging, maps, banking). Those apps have their own privacy policies, which apply to your use of them.
Third-party services and international transfers
Bridge's device management is powered by Google's Android Enterprise / Android Management API. This may involve transferring data to Google LLC in the United States. Google processes this data under its own privacy terms and relies on Standard Contractual Clauses and other safeguards recognized under GDPR for international transfers.
Your rights
Under GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Restrict or object to certain processing
- Receive your data in a portable format
- Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority — in Sweden, the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY), imy.se
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at founder@getbridge.tools.
